Since its inception in 1994, the Inverloch Jazz Festival has been a beloved event, attracting jazz enthusiasts and performers from across Australia. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and with an exciting line up of outstanding musicians and bands including exceptional emerging young talent the festival promises to be an unforgettable experience from Friday, August 2nd to Sunday, August 4th.
Festival Overview:
Duration: Two days and two evenings of non-stop music
Performers: 45 bands, including 15 new to the festival, and 150 artists from all over Australia
Genres: Ranges from traditional to contemporary jazz, Latin jazz, and funk-style jazz
· Emerging talent: The festival has forged a close link with the Monash University’s music faculty and its acclaimed jazz stream, and this year will feature three bands of Monash’s highly talented younger players.
Location: Inverloch, a charming seaside village just two hours from Melbourne, provides an idyllic setting for the festival. Known for its town and surf beaches, coastal walks, boating opportunities, cafes, and restaurants, Inverloch offers the perfect backdrop for great jazz music. The area is renowned for its local wine and produce and is home to a growing community of musicians, artists, and writers.

Historical Significance: The inaugural Inverloch Jazz Festival in 1994 featured thirteen bands and sixty-one musicians. Many of these original musicians continue to participate, underscoring the festival's enduring appeal and strong community ties.
